Summary
This month saw several new feature additions to the platform, including a new button block, article galleries, and further improvements to the events block and its tie-in to content.uiowa.edu. Site-specific work also continued on some sites such as Admissions, Iowa Now (as they prepare their move to SiteNow v3), and UI Press.
New features and improvements:
- A new button block is available in layout builder for added flexibility in webpage designs.
- The events block has been updated to allow for specific date ranges in which to pull events, as well as the original future or past events functionality.
- A new summary option has been added to content.uiowa.edu, and these summaries can be used as the teaser text in SiteNow v3 events blocks.
- It is now possible to add image galleries to the Article content type.
- The blockquote block now allows bold and italicized text in the blockquote content and blockquote source fields.
Fixes:
- Two and three column layouts were previously allowed for some users in pre footer content, and are no longer.
- The articles page layout has been updated so that the pager and RSS feed link appear below the list of articles, even in cases where the article archive extends further down the page.
- Improvements have been made to scheduling in UI Signage.
- Padding has been adjusted for banner video play/pause buttons, fixing an overlap issue in some screen dimensions.
