This month, our team prepared for the Department of Justice WCAG 2.1 AA compliance ahead of the Spring 2026 deadline. As part of that work, we explored various accessibility checkers to see if they could be layered in to SiteNow and be helpful to editors. Following an uptick in traffic that caused some service interruptions, we spent time auditing traffic and making adjustments to reduce abusive web traffic. We also advanced our Drupal 7 migration projects by streamlining file transfers, implementing security updates, and deactivating redundant sites.
Features
- For websites using the site events feature, the events block on a person page will no longer display if there are no results.
- In SiteNow v3, background colors can now be configured and applied to the Featured Content block.
- A "nofollow" attribute has been applied to SiteNow login links.
Fixes
- Fixed the alert for Preserve Links on article content that was missing background color.
- The Academic Dates block was adjusted to use the updated card component.
- In the Google Tag Manager configuration, the required hostname field now has a default value which was preventing save if empty.
- Fixed a regression with accordion anchor ids not being populated in the browser address bar.
