The Job Postings block allows you to place a feed for job postings from the University of Iowa jobs RSS feed. Each job post will link directly to the central job posting.

It may only be used with the UI jobs feeds, https://hris.uiowa.edu/otac-rss/faculty.php and https://hris.uiowa.edu/otac-rss/jobs.php. Additional filters on each feed are supported and recommended, such as https://hris.uiowa.edu/otac-rss/faculty.php?dept-code=DEPT-NUM.

Headline

Use the headline field to add a heading element for the job posts, for example "Open Faculty Positions." 

NOTE: You have the ability to hide the headline field if you still wish to add a descriptive title yet not have it display on the page. Think of it more as an ‘Administrative Label’ if you wish to implement it this way

Headline Size

You have the ability to select the font size of the block headline. Heading 2 is set by default, but may need to be adjusted depending on where you nest the Job Postings block within the page. Each job posting content will be created with the next heading size down from the headline.

Child Content Heading Size

If no headline is set, you have the option to set the child content heading size. Heading 2 is set by default. All job posting content will use this heading size for their titles.

Headline Style

Default, Bold serif, and Bold serif, underlined (which will underline the headline text) are available.

Feed URL

Enter the specific, filtered job posting feed URL from which job postings will be pulled. It must be from hris.uiowa.edu/otac-rss.

Number of Items

Select the number of items to display in total or per page (if the pager option is used). If the pager is used, the total maximum number of jobs which will display is 50.

Show Pager

Whether the list of jobs should be divided into sub-groups as pages.

Include Posting Date

The date the job was originally posted will be displayed below the job title.

Include Description

A trimmed version of the job posting will be displayed below the job title and, if included, the posting date. This description is truncated at approximately 300 characters. The full description is available at the full job posting, which is directly linked from the title.

Display Options

These options change the individual job posts, not the block itself.

Background: White, Gray, Gold, Black and - None - (card is transparent)

Content Alignment: Left (default) or Center

Display list as: List (default), Grid

NOTE: With the grid display option you have the ability to choose between 2 column and 3 column.

When "Grid" is selected, when possible based on layout column size and viewport size (e.g. mobile/desktop), it will attempt to display as either a 2 column or 3 column grid. For best results, use a one-column section layout.
